I have a couple questions. First is about my mounting of my com antenna on the belly near the aft passenger left foot well. I was wondering if a doubler is really needed there?
The second is I am going to soon rivet the fwd top skin. The rivets in the gear box will be hard to reach, I am planning on installing pull rivets there and a couple more places along that longeron. Does anyone know the part number for those that have done this? Not sure of the size or grip length. Thanks all in advance

Yes, thats the correct one.

There are some old threads about how to prep the hole.
It seemed pretty straightforward to me at the time.

thanks everyone, thats the rivet I was trying to locate. Got them on order now. yay! now about that doubler? Anyone think the belly skin is strong enough or do I put a doubler for the antenna? I am getting the bent whip red tip antenna.

All I can say is the builder of my -8 added a doubler for the comm antenna.

Doubler

I would add the doubler. Review AC-43-13-1 (And-2) for accepted methods. Better than repairing cracks later.
