I've gotten my T/U canopy hinges drilled and frame riveted together without the F-631A. The gap between the canopy skin and the forward skin is about .030" per the plans. It appears there needs to be a little more gap from what I've read. I'm thinking that I should wait and finalize the gap after the canopy is on and all is riveted together. Is this correct or should I increase the gap so it will raise now?

Thanks for all the help.

Wait.

Yes, you should wait. Leave it as is for now. The fit may continue to shift around a bit as you complete your work on the canopy frame. It's easy to file back the forward edge of the canopy frame skin, if you still need to, after the canopy is otherwise complete.
