Hi Guys,

When I inherited my rv8 I was doing an inspection and found that on my trutrak pitch servo the motor was loose where it mounts to the servo gearbox. I tried tightening it and no joy. So I asked trutrak about it and the tech rep said that was how it was supposed to be. However this has always bothered me so I wanted to see if that was indeed normal. I can't think of a reason that motor would need to float.

That is indeed how they’re supposed to be - that’s how it senses torque being applied.
