My TruTrak pictoral turn and bank unit has a female three-prong plug on the back. Two questions:

1) what type of connector/harness do I need to connect to this, and where can I get it?

2) why three prongs? Power, ground and... ?

1- You should have received the male 3-pronged connector with your unit. Contact the seller.

2- Power, ground, and nothing. I spoke to the Trutrak people about this when I was wiring mine. Connectors don't always come in all flavors of pin count. Sometimes as a designer you opt for the cheaper/stocked higher demand pin-counts (i.e. the 2 pin connector may end up costing twice as much as a 3-pin due to demand market demand).
