Hi Folks,

I am finishing my new panel, everything is working but my Trutrak autopilot said "No GPS", I have checked wires and configuration and I don't find anything bad, Any ideas?

Any one knows if GPS signal come from RS-232 or ARINC-429???

Also something that is strange, I have separate GPS antennas for PFD and MDF, but if I disconnect one that display do not use information from the other GPS source, strange

Try going through your configuration instructions in the G3X manual. In the configuration page on the PFD 1 you should be able to enter "integrated Autopilot". Also, you have to choose which GPS antenna each screen will use so if you plug your antenna into the PFD 1 only, you have to tell MFD and PFD2 where to pull the GPS antenna from, which in this case would be PFD 1.

Garmin is REALLY good putting everything in the manual. It might be hard to navigate through the huge manual but it is ALL in there. A lot of questions I had that was answered by Garmin or Chris at SteinAir I later found in the manual. Good luck.

Yes is configured like the manual said.

The things with GPS antennas is that I have two, one for each screen, what I don't like is, if I remove one antenna, simulating an antenna failure, the system is not taking the signal from the other antenna

The GPSS/GPSV info comes in over the ARINC429 lines as well as a bunch of other 429 labels listed in the manual. The higher level integration features come in over the RS232 line as well. The manual is unclear on what else is provided to the AP over the RS232 line. If you can push the EFIS button on the GX pilot and see the mode change on the PFD, you know the GX is talking to the PFD, and vice versa if you enable some AP mode on the PFD, you should see the status change on the GX Pilot.

When I first put my harness together, I had the TX/RX wires on the GPS lines crossed and this prevented communication between the GX and G3X. I don't think this is a problem with yours however since you have the check mark on the third picture for the autopilot.

Ensure that you are configuring the serial ports for the correct screen for where the devices are connected.

I would check to ensure that the baud rate is set to 9600 in the GX Pilot.

Did you update your system to the latest firmware revision?

Hi Brian,

Yes GX and G3X are talking because I can control AP from PFD, also I checked baud rate on GX, I think I have some problems with ARINC wires, I will check and let you know.
