I'm wrapping up completion of the empennage, and I have a quick question about aligning the trim tab to the elevator. My trim tab aligns perfectly straight on the trailing edge, as well as the side.

However, there is a small gap when I clamp a piece of angle to the trim tab and the elevator. See below.

(Note - Elevator is on the left, Trim Tab is on the Right)

I'm not sure why it is doing this as it almost appears that the elevator trailing edge is bent down slightly.

Is this something I need to worry about? And if it is, any suggestions as to how to best correct this?

Normally, after landing, the trim tab will be in the nose up trim direction (tab trailing edge down). It won't be lined up with the elevator trailing edge. So, as long as you don't make a practice of putting the tab in neutral, and clamping a straight edge to it, no one will notice.
