Was wondering if anyone had ideas of how to best and cheapest transport a wing kit thats half way assembled. Skins are match drilled from Texas to Los Angeles. The current owner is not at the site and therefor can't do any special crating or boxing.
Are there any known shipping companies that safely pack whats in the garage under wife supervision and get it on its way ?

Partain would be my suggestion.

What kind of RV, and are they already riveted, or can they be packaged in smaller boxes???

If the spar, and ribs have been riveted, then (IMHO) the wing needs the skin at least cleacoed on, or a few pop rivets might work.

The skin will protect the framework-----spar/ribs from damage.

Pop rivets will leave a smooth surface to deal with, vs. cleacos.

Either a wing cradle, or nose down on some padding, and strapped to the exterior wall of a truck body ----U Haul etc----should be a safe way to do it.

Where in Texas------maybe someone on VAF can meet up with the seller, and supervise for you??
