i have a gtx 327 that is wired to a grt mini for altitude encoding. i can get into the gtx 327 menu but see nothing that grt tech support says i should set. as the wait time is an hour on the phone is there any written material i can access from garmin to make the transponder talk to the efis?

EFIS RS232 out. Set format to ‘fuel/air data (Z format)’
G327 RS232 in. Set format to FADC w/ALT

Hint: this sort of info is often easiest found in GRT’s older manuals, like the well documented ones for the Hx.

Another hint. Program the 327 to boot up to ‘alt’ mode (not standby) since the faa now requires the mode C be run anytime the airplane is operating, even on the ground.
