i have a garmin 327 , grt mini and a uavionix echo. the transponder gets its altitude info from the mini. after the initial testing and approval do i regularly need to have the system tested?

yes the transponder must be checked every 24 calendar months. (FAR91.413) of the aircraft is IFR then the altimeter must also be checked every 24 calendar months (FAR91.411) most avionics shops also do a ADSB check at the same time, at least mine does.
