I’m setting up to MCS the trailing edge holes. I set the MCS on a piece of scrap metal to flush plus 7 clicks. When I MCK in the VA-140, the MCK meet when done from both sides. I’m using the Cleveland base to keep the MCS parallel to the surface. Is this normal?

Yes, it’s a thin piece, so the depth is at basically minimum. You’ll probably have one or two you overdo a bit and will get a slightly enlarged hole, so just be careful. Watch the end ones, where the countersink tool is not well supported on both sides.
