If you are considering buying the RV12 and trailering it to the airport, think again.

My 12 was ready for the paint shop and I could not get the fuel tank to stop leaking.(another story) I decided to borrow a friends trailer and take it the 50 miles to the shop. After all, taking the wings off and putting it on a trailer is the reason for the fuel being the fuselage. This trailer is 24 feet long and the widest allowed.

First, the landing gear is to wide for any trailer that has the tires recessed in the floor. Second, the tail is to wide and to tall. I can not imagine the trailer this thing fits.

I want be trailering my RV 12.

I have a flatbed trailer. It works good for a single ride, not to trailer it every day.
The wings will fit below the fuselage. I take off the wheel pants so I can use straps to tie down the wheels.

I agree it would be possible, but not something you would take to the airport and back after flying. The concept seems to suggest an inclosed trailer.
