My vs-808pp doubler and the vs-803pp both came with a 1/8 ish hole punched in the middle of the doubler just between the second and third lightening hole from the bottom, which seems unremarkable except it is not shown anyplace in the drawings or mentioned in the instructions that I have found.

I suppose it's some kind of tooling hole and it will do no harm to just debur it and otherwise leave it alone, but maybe I should put a flush rivet in like the other rivet holes in the vicinity.

???
 
I called Vans less than 2 months ago about that very hole and was told very tersely to leave it open. No other explanation was given, nor did I press for any.
