Hi gang:

Today was a good day in my very slow build RV-6A. I move fuselage and wings into a friends large garage and got everything levelled up. Then for the first time we slid the wings into position. They fit perfectly, the rear spar slide directly into the fuselage tabs.

Needless to say, I'm a happy camper.

Cheers, Terry.

High Tension

Yep, Terry, that is a high-tension moment as the wings slide in, you are checking everything - and praying to the proper authorities who oversee these things - and the spars all go into place and line up correctly. I remember a lot of anticipation, and a BIG sigh of relief when that step was done on my -6.

Double check the wing incidence angles (equal on each side is the primary concern, IIRC, with relationship to fuselage next), verify adequate edge distance on the rear spar, and then pour a cold one. :D
