I'm in the process of making the engine baffle. I can't decide if it is worth painting. Any of you out there with strong feelings one way or the other. What are the pros and cons of painting the baffle?

IMOH...other than the obvious protection (but from what, really? it's not stuctural), it's purely cosmetic under there...i LIKE the look of painted baffling. i can't think of any cons. :) mine will be painted.
 
I wasn't going to bother, but now they're getting scratched up in the process of fitting them. I'm going to have to sand out the scratches and probably paint. Anybody have a high-temp paint suggestions?

Another advantage to painting, if you choose a light color, is it might be easier to see cracks.
