I am assembling the main wheels and tires for my 9A and want to make sure I'm doing this right. There is a rubber grommet the valve stem goes through in the wheel half. It is a very tight fit. I am planning on putting a little o-ring lube on the valve stem so the threads won't cut into the grommet and make it easier to stuff through the hole. Am I on the right track?

That'll work Jim - I generally use whatever looks like lubricant that happens to be nearby at the time. A little soapy water will even work.

I usually use wheel bearing grease since it is usually right there when I'm putting the wheel back together.
But, like Iron says, any kind of lube will work.

Here I go and thanks. I just didn't want to use something that would degrade the rubber and I figured the O-ring lube would surely be OK.
