I'm New Here
Anyone have ideas for a canopy guide for closing of the tip up? Have seen the one in the 10/94 RV-Ator, but am looking for more ideas or suggestions. Am flying a 7 and want to eliminate the right rear corner of the canopy hitting the roll bar as it closes.

I don't have any photos, but I've seen 1/2" AL angle used as a guide. It is split and rolled inward so as the edge of the canopy nears the roll bar, the angle guides it over the edge of the roll bar as the canopy continues down. It basically wedges the canopy out so by the time the corner of the canopy passes by the roll bar, it is lined up. The pieces are about 3" long and are usually pop riveted on. I did not find a need for them as my canopy seems to close fairly well by just pushing inward as I lower it from one side. Lowering from the handle while in the cockpit seems to be just fine.

Van's uses this style. Maybe someone has pics or a better idea.

Here's what I did for my tip-up. One on each side. Works great.
