I have just installed the gas struts into my canopy frame and I seem to have interference between the inboard edge of the canopy frame side rails as they pass the body of the struts on their way up and down. The interference is only enough to cause rubbing. It will not actually impede the movement of frame or strut.

It is true that I mounted these frame rails 1/8th inboard (to make room for a Sikaflex fillet) but I made thicker mounts for both fore and aft strut spiggots so they are also 1/8 inboard of their usual position and the geometry should be identical to the stock set up.

Has anybody else come across this problem?

I will need to take about 1/16th off the inboard edge of the bottom flange of each rail alongside the struts. Personally, I doubt if this is significant. Any opinions?
