When I built my -6 you had to cut the rudder hinge brackets out of 1/8aluminum angle so I modified the shape of the bottom bracket to look pretty much just like the nylon ones being sold and was very happy with the way they worked. Its simple cheep and light.

Sorry I didnt take any pictures of it, its pretty simple to generate the shape.
This is the thread that reminded me how well they worked.

An improvement to what I did would be to make two new rudder bottom hinge brackets out of 1/8 alum angle that both have the rearward facing ears or extensions so there is less of a strain on the lower rod end when you push hard against the stop.
and if you really want the cats meow rivet a thin piece of UHMW plastic to the forward face of the rudder spar where the stops contact it.
