I'm sure things have improved since my stone age -4, but today, while prepping the rudder for paint, I realized that the rudder bottom only clears the tailspring by 1/8 inch or so. Obviously a hard landing would send the spring up into my rudder and could result in a loss of control. At this stage the easiest fix is to cut off some of the rudder bottom and glass in a new piece, but it would have been nice to have built it right the first time. I would recommend not attaching the rudder bottom until you've got a fuse on wheels.
