Hey all-

Getting ready for the trip to SNF. Was wondering if anyone has had problems with tiedowns there in the grass (will be parking in the HB area). Seems like I read somewhere that someone had issues with the wheels sinking up to the wheelpants. Anyone have this problem or other problems with tiedowns? If so what did you do to prevent it from happening again?

I've been to SnF a dozen or more times without a problem.

The ground at Lakeland Linder is a bit soft (it is fine sand), and the airplane will settle slightly. I've never seen an RV have a problem, but some of the heavier homebuilts settle more - I've seen Glasair IV's and other heavy homebuilts sink enough where they needed assistance to move from their parking spot after a few days.

As far as tiedowns go, I've never had a problem.
