I started looking at how I'm going to install the throttle and mixture cables. There are two small nuts near the end of the cable (to attach to a bracket on the engine) and one large nut (to attach to the instrument panel). What is the trick to getting all the nuts off to install the cable? The big nut won't slide over the small ones, and the small ones won't slide over the rubber cover. What's the trick?

This is a question that your DAR might ask of you to see if you did build your project.

pull the rubber covers off

All the nuts and rubber covers will come off and go back on. If I remember correctly, remove the rubber covers first. take care.

Thanks, I thought that might be the case. I just didn't want to start pulling off rubber covers without at least asking first ;)
