My throttle knob, as well as its rigid shaft, can spin quite freely when the throttle is unlocked. I detect no slop when increasing or decreasing throttle. I noticed when I first installed it that it did rotate quite easily, but now there is little to no resistance to it turning.
The carb end of the cable is secure, so it has to be rotating at the point where the rigid shaft connects to the flexible cable. Not knowing what that connection looks like, as it is within the cable sheath, I am concerned that things are going to part company sometime.
Anyone else ever see this? What kind of connection is up in there? Is this cause to replace the cable?
Thanks in advance
