This year I drove to OSH and Colin flew the plane with his wife. I took my wife and 12 year old daughter for the first time since I started going 10 years ago. They had a great time. Here are a few pics of some stuff I noticed.
This is what the trim tab looks like on a factory built RV12
They changed the landing light to this one.
No Velcro here.
This is the updated version of the Viking engine. They have made some changes to it. According to the Gentleman in the picture it weights 178lbs without coolant or oil. The Fire Wall forward price for the 12 is $16000.00. The bottom of the cowl is basically open. It now has 2 batteries and 2 separate ignition computers that do not run simultaneously. If one fails you switch to the backup. That's all I know about it so if you guys want to discuss it start a new thread.![Roll eyes  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Here is the new fuel injected Rotax 912 installed in a kit fox with about 50 hours on it. For me personally I think this is a super cool engine and the wave of the future. I don't have a lot of facts about it except it burns even less fuel than the 912uls. Its still in its infancy and I'm sure will have some problems. I still think in a few years they will stop making the carb version so we will have to stay tuned to see .![Wink ;) ;)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
That's it for now let's limit this thread to all things OSH 2013. Thanks more later when I'm back in wifi.![Eek! ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
