I might be a bit off base, but wasn't the creation of the LSP and the LSA originally intended to be an intermediate step in eliminating the PPL TCM?

What is the difference in an LSP or a PPL being involved in an incident or accident? God forbid, if either are involved, in a mid air, does it really make a difference if one gave an AME $100 or not?

It seems the LSP and LSA were backed by manufacturers while the TCM repeal is only backed by those of us that vote.

The pilots who are against TCM reform on the grounds that PPL's are less of a pilot should push for it and then eliminate the Sport Pilot License. This will improve safety and increase regulation compliance. I.e., reduce airspace incursions and other things some ALPA management and members think only happen due to lack of medicals.
