I happened to meet the Scotts this morning after I returned from a flight. They had flown over from the Fort Worth area, to tour Carlsbad Cavern. They have a compelling personal story and have gone through a lot, so enjoying the airplane this way seems to mean an extra lot.

Their RV-4 has many clever custom touches. In the photo above, Shawn is demonstrating the storage cubby in the cheek extension, that doubles as a place for the hidden cowling pin and oil door pin access. The airplane also has auxiliary fuel, air vent improvements and other nice touches.
