After wrangling the cables for my elevator trim on and off, I realized that my quadrant cable boots that were repeatedly removed and reattached became partly damaged, and partly missing. What a pain it is to get these off without damaging them. These Q cables are used for quadrants, electric trim, etc. I think on all Vans models, and costy ($120)
I found a source for new boots! Two parts:
1) The black rubber bendable cover at the swivel point (easiest to damage): "cablesealhousing"
2) The sliding brown (viton) seal near the end: "cablesealwiper"
$3 each! (plus lots of shipping and handling)
Happy building,
