This is a photo of the RV-1 in front of the EAA Chapter 242 "Sport Aviation Center (SAC)" in Columbia, SC (KCUB).

SC is the "Palmetto State" (as in the palm, for historic reasons), so I decided we needed a shot to mark the occasion.

I did a little cropping and a subtle adjustment of light.

Nice pic, CB. Wouldn't it be nice if people took pics of the RV-1 wherever it stops and compile a scrapbook when the tour is over?

Imagine ... the very first RV -- the grandpappy of them all -- in a photo album showing all of the airports and all of the hangars where it spent the night on the tour. A photo album showing a lot of the people whose lives have been positively influenced by this airplane.

Just an idea.

Ah... isn't the English language wonderful! I expected to see a photo of a bunch RVers standing around the RV-1 drinking a toast (at sunset, after the flying was done, of course!)
