I just put my canopy back on after the glass layup. In the very tip of the of the glass work, right above the pivot bolts, it's hitting on both sides when I open the canopy. I know the plans say mark and trim where needed, but it looks like I'll have to radius the corners in order for it to clear. Is this normal?
Thanks, Joe

I took a different approach to correct the interference. I added material so it always rides over the edge of the avionics bay cover. The only problem is that I have to remove the canopy to get to a few of the screws when I need bay access.

I too took a different approach and slightly concaved the aft portion of the instrument cover panel tab so that the forward lip of the fiberglass canopy fairing passes over the slightly depressed aluminum tab. Whatever floats your boat!
