how do the different classes work? I've never looked into air racing, but I'd like to race in the 4 seater gear welded down class

Is there such a thing?

Brian,

Usually broken out by factory or Experimental.
Then retract or Welded.
Then engine size.
All on sportair.org website.

Hope this helps.

I raced my Bonanza a few times a couple years back.

These races are well organized, the racing is fun, and the camaraderie is outstanding. I haven't tried it with the -6 yet (there's a lot of pretty tough competition with the RV's).
