Hi,
I want to install a TCAS in my RV7 that can detect Mode C xponders, it seems that an alternative to Zaon is PowerFlarm. Can anyone tell their experience with this device. From their website PowerFLARM combines

The FLARM collision-avoidance system
An 1090-ADS-B receiver
A transponder detector - only altitude and distance, no direction
An IGC certified logger suitable for badges, contests, and OLC
A serial output, which can provide traffic enriched GPS data for a flight computer, PDA or transponder.

Tks,

I have the Monroy Traffic-Watch+ and I am very happy with it. It detect Mode C traffic and ADS-B 1090MHz traffic (direction, range & altitude). It is smaller than the Zaon XRX and can be panel mounted with a belly mounted directional antenna. Works great on the ground to asses traffic in the pattern. Check it at http://www.monroyaero.com/ATD300Webpage8.pdf
