My project fuel tanks were obviously never pressure tested. I am now faced with major leaks around the T-912 attach brackets. One rivet is leaking directly through the mandrel hole my guess is it is not a blind rivet.

My question; What is a good (best) way to remove the punched out rivets ends , drill chips and Proseal dust from the inside of the tank? It would seem the the capacitive plates will block most debris exit paths. Is that true?

Any advice will be appreciated.

William,
On removed tank you will be able to fit an extended vaccuum hose in any bay via fuel cap hole or inboard access cover. You may need to modify the hose a bit. Even if you lose a mandrel inside in a midbay/outboard it may stay there forever, you don't do any aerobatics in 9, don't you?

Thanks Vlad,

You gave me the push to start.

So far I have found two "key-hole" holes under the attach brackets and a lack of Proseal (except for dipped rivet Proseal). I am going to cover the base of the attach bracket with Proseal and reset the rivets. It is worth a shot.

Thanks again
