Hello,
I need help in identifying the type of tailwheel fork that I have, but seem unable to attach a picture in the post. If someone could give me a few pointers that would be great.

I hope this is the correct image. Thanks again.

Tailwheel Fork.

Thanks for the information. Now for the real question. The tailwheel fork assembly has quite a bit of side play on the mounting shaft. A larger through bolt has been used with some help, but the play still exists. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dean

Taper pins... do a search, you should find it. Many folks have done this and it works quite well. Pretty much eliminates any play from that point forward.

Here's a picture:

Tailwheel Fork.

More dumb questions. Is this the standard mounting procedure for the API tail wheel? Most of the tail wheels seem to have two through bolts mounted horizontally.

Should I consider adding a second vertical through bolt or is one adequate?

Are the API products still available and if so where?

All suggestions and recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks,
Dean

I'd be willign to bet that if that isn't a really old RV, thre are two horizontal holes already in the tailsping (behind that vertical hole). All you have to do is find them, and put bolts and /or taper pins as shown in post #6
