The 11am college football game times seriously limit tailgating fun - especially if you are 200 miles away. The RV makes it possible to see the college buddies and our youngest at our Alma Mater, Iowa State, in Ames!
Andi and I launched at dawn - cool, crisp and smooth.....
Sunrise over the breadbasket.....
Land at Ames International, unfold the bike, and ride over to Jack Trice Stadium for the festivities.
The Payoff....Kate, yours truly, Seth, his Dad Ken(F-16, A-320, and RV-7A Driver). Ken and I were buddies at Iowa State. Seth is Ken's son and he and Kate are good friends @ISU now.
A couple hours of tailgating, lunch with Kate, and smooth ride home. Even got Bravo clearance over Minne to finish off the day......
Home in time to mow the lawn and make Chili with Andi. Oh - Cyclones won 26-13. Pretty good day all around!
