For those of you who have finished a -14A, has anyone pushed the tail down until the tiedown ring touches the ground and verified that it protects the lower rudder fairing from contacting the ground in the event of a tailstrike? Has anyone found that the ring needs to be backed out a bit to provide clearance? I'm planning to make a tiedown/skid that looks nicer than the stock ring, and want to make sure it is long enough.

Thanks,
