My tail kit shipped today but to my surprise (only because everyone was saying their kits were complete) I have 2 sub kits on backorder for a month. Due to ship 7/30.

So does that mean I can only build the rudder?

I have plenty of other projects to work on so its not a big deal. I assume everything pretty much shuts down at Van's for a couple of weeks around Oshkosh.

Most of the subkits are just a collection of parts, not all the parts for an assembly. I picked up my tail kit a couple weeks ago and just had one missing subkit. I'm not working on it full time, but I have a lot of work to do before the missing subkit will slow me down.

My backordered HS subkit arrived just a few days after my kit. Had Van's communicated about this, with such a short delay, I would have gladly waited another week for things to ship all at once.

The HS subkit came via UPS in a long tube.

#184 EMP arrived yesterday 17 July, same two sub-kits on BO. Otherwise, just missing two Bushings. Everything packed very well!
