First engine start yesterday.
FIrst I dumped 5 gallons in each tank and checked for leaks, none found.
Weather a balmy Sept. like 40 deg. F so 2 seconds on the primer, hit the
starter and she lit off instantly.
I let the oil temp start to rise and at 1800 rpm ignition (1 mag, 1 lightspeed)
check 100 rpm drop with L/S off and NO drop with mag off.
Cycled the prop, took a while for the new Hartzell to respond.
Shut down and tweaked the idle mixture and speed (too lean) and swapped
the sense leads on the ammeter.
Everything else worked great.
I've still got plenty left to do and waiting for the registration paperwork
to work through the guv-mint bureaucracy.
