I have looked all through the manual several times, but can't seem to find the recommended tyre pressures. What are people using from experience, and how often are you finding that the tyre pressures need checking and tyres pumping up. In the workshop, the pressures seem to drop significantly after 3-4 weeks.

Tighten the valve cores. This is something many folks seem to overlook on new tires/tubes.

I use 34 to 35 PSI. (RV6 and now RV8)
No leak tubes are a good investment if you continue to see leakage over time.

I use 22-24 psi. Seems to help reduce shimmy.

Michelin Air Stop Tubes

Air Stops are worth the extra money. No need to add air for 3 - 4 months. I run my -6 tires with 40 lbs and re-fill them at 34 - 36. I have no shimmy issues and like the low (no) squat of the tire.

Did the people who are getting shimmy's properly balence their wheels and tires after mounting? That can make a huge difference. I must say though, tire wear isn't exactly a hot topic with RV's so running low PSI shouldn't hurt.
