There are several washers included with the jacks
When installing in an aluminum panel, in what order do I put these washers?

which ones are behind the panel, and which are in the front behind the nut?

thanks

I think it would depend on what you have and what you are doing with them.

If you bought the stuff from B&C your washers should like like the picture.

Some instructions recommend a .450 or 15/32 hole for the mic jack but these are 0.5" washers.

If you look closely at the jack on the right it is from Spruce. The anti-rotation tab extended so far out that it grounded the jack. I trimmed it with Dremel.

Best to follow the instruction manual from the unit you are connecting them to. If you can afford it and want the peace of mind, just pay somebody to wire it all for you.

PS Engineering has a nice powerpoint presentation on their website somewhere that helped me.

Some good posts in the archive too.

The non-metallic washers are used to insulate the jack from mount. The ridge on the one washer goes through the mounting hole and the other fiber washer goes on the front to form an sandwich that keeps the jack isolated from the mount.

Where can I find grounding washers for the music input jack? I checked B&C, they don't have them. I checked Stein and didn't see them either.
