GR8 8

Hi Guys, I am hoping someone might shed some light on a idea. I am considering converting an 8A into a taildragger by installing a HRII engine mount and gear legs. Has anyone done this? I've not built an RV8, but I've owned a couple, so I haven't been intimately aquainted with the structural differences between an 8 and an 8A in the firewall/boot cowl area. How does the structure compare with an RV4 or 6-7 that would transfer all landing loads through the firewall? Any constructive insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
