Hi all,

Please excuse an ignorant post from a newbie RV7 builder...
I'm working on the first section of my horizontal stabilizer and I'm approaching my first priming session. I decided to keep itrelatively simple (as least for now), choosing Mar-Hyde 5111 aerosol self-etching primer. I ordered some of the stuff on line and after reading the directions, I have a couple of questions...

First, what is Mar-Hyde Acrylic Enamel Reducer? It's called out as the second surface prep step (after Mar-Hyde Total Prep) but I can't find it anywhere, including the Mar-Hyde website! What is it? What's it for? Where can I get it? What are reasonable substitutes?

Second, can anyone with experience with the Mar-Hyde 5111 aerosol self-etching primer please share their techniques for surface prep?

Thanks in advance, and I look forward to getting to know many of you (virtually) as I embark on this crazy project.
