What rubber cushions?? I just removed, rebuilt and re-installed my slicks..didn't see any rubber cushions.. Where are they and where do they mount, stick to??
It is my understanding the older model engines using Bendix S-200 magnetos use two rubber cushions in in the gear assembly on the accessory case where the magneto bolts to the case. A newer design uses cushions with wings that hold the cushions in place for easier installation. Called Lycoming and the guy there said he used a grease he called peanut butter grease. Anyone know what this peanut butter grease is? Lycoming guy mentioned he also used it to coat crank when slipping seal over crank.
Will just use some heavy grease to hold them in place.
