I would suggest attaching the ground cables on the forward side of the battery box with a K1000-3 nutplate rather than a #3 nut. Reason, if your ground wire ever loosens, you will need to remove the oil tank to tighten it.
That could create a fairly large job later, better to foresee the potential problem and install a nutplate now.
