Not sure if this answers your question but I used a standard terminal block for my wing root connections. I prosealed the blocks in the fuselage just behind the spar.
I terminated all the wires (strobes, nav & landing lights) at the terminal block. I treated the shield on the strobes as just another wire, which means that there's about 4" of unshielded strobe wires each side of the terminal block. I've never noticed any noise from the strobes (Whelan).
