Hi all,, I'm referring this to all the experts out there.....

bellcrank bracket (bolted to spar) was re-installed today after I installed the bellcrank on my QB wing. I think I've over torqued the AN3 bolt. It is not loose, loose (can't turn by hand) but it definetly <sp> is not as tight as the other 3. Can I use a longer bolt? helicoil? blue locktite?

help

If I remember right, the bellcrank gets bolted through the spar into nutplates on the tie-down bracket (someone correct me here). I doubt you stripped the nutplate. Maybe just replace the bolt?

Worst case, you could always remove the tiedown bracket to see what's actually doing on.

is what it took to break some i tested.the little terd seemed to turn forever befor actually breaking. as said earlier the nut plate probally not stripped but the bolt has failed,, but i would seriously reccomend a repair to correct it. try the new bolt see if it will hold. its only about 32" lbs IIRC including drag torque..
