R rapid_ascent Well Known Member Jul 24, 2019 #2 Ryan, Some heat shrink has a higher shrink ratio than others. That can result in it being thicker when you use a larger diameter and then shrink it more. I can?t say for sure if that is what you are seeing but I suspect it is the case. Ray
