I made these floor covers out of plywood so as not to deform the floor every time my fat but steps in during maintenance. It sure save smashing hing pins , just an idea!

Put some carpet (face down) on the underside so you don't smash anything or leave scratches.

Nice! I'm more concerned about putting my full weight on the baggage compartment floor when I'm back there for mx. I cut a big piece of 3/4" ply to fit the space and spread the load more uniformly.
