This is the elbow angle at the front of the engine that connects to the prop governor. As previously told to do I replaced the aluminum tubing and elbow. I was hoping someone may know the correct size steel elbow I need here. It would appear that I ordered the wrong size the first time. I ordered the 4-4 that is 9.50 from spruce...see below. The pipe end went into the engine fine, but the part sticking out is too small for the 3/8 stainless steel tubing I have.

Ryan, you need an AN822-6 elbow. That'll be steel, with -6AN for the tube and 1/4" NPT for the engine block. I can't tell from the photo, is that a new fitting or the one that was in the block when you got the engine? It's definitely steel (black) and is obviously 1/4" NPT since it threads into the block, but without something to compare to I can't tell if it's -4AN or -6AN. If the latter, you are good to go.

got thx..I thought it was -6 but wasn't sure and didn't want to order the wrong part again..thx

Measure over the threads to be sure.

9/16" diameter = -6AN; 7/16" diameter = -4AN.
