I?m at the point now where I can start the cowling. As of right now I have the engine hung, and am planning on overhauling it as one of the last steps before flight. As it is, I do not yet have a starter ring gear, and am wondering about the thickness of it so I can do all of the mock ups necessary to get the spinner back plate in the right position to align the cowl too. Does someone have one they can measure the thickness on for me? For reference, I have an O-360 A1A.
