Just read about the new Sporty's Stratus weather datalink on Flying eNews. I'm wondering if anyone at SnF can provide some additional info on how it looks/works. I would be interested to know if it talks with the iPhone (or anything else for that matter) or only with the iPad. Also whether it requires the ForeFlight app to work, or will work standalone on a satellite image, charts, or other background.

Got mine Wed and flew it Thurs. Really simple works great.

This is made solely for Foreflight. If you know Foreflight it works in the air the same as it does on the ground gathering and presenting weather. The GPS is WASS and I was getting 2&3 meter accuracy.

Check the map to see ADS-B coverage.

This is a great package!
