I have ordered the Varta batteries for this, and bought a you-beaut soldering station.
What temperature should I set the soldering station to when soldering the new battery?
Can I be pushy and ask any responders to specify if they are referring to Celsius/Centigrade or Farhenheit temperatures?

When soldering batteries to any printed circuit board, I tend to set my Weller soldering station to 600 degrees F and use regular plain old 60/40 solder. I keep the time of heat to the bare minimum amount to get the job done.

John, a small alligator clip on the component being soldered will help as a heat sink to keep it cooler. We often did this when we worked on transistors in our Army avionics classes.

Best,

Thanks for the link.
How did you use a flat head screwdriver to remove the nut from the antenna?

Edit - Mike, I just tried the nut holding the case to the antenna,
and it is easy to move with an artery forcep (= hemostat in US), and would be easy with a small flat head srewdriver, so question now redundant.
